Scott Hardester founded Radius Design in 2019 and has 30 years of experience as a project manager specializing in site development and utility design. Under his leadership, Radius Design has become a leading utility design firm in the Bay Area.
At Radius Design, Hardester leads a skilled team of experienced project managers, engineers, and designers to navigate the complex and ever-changing world of utility design, ensuring that projects remain on schedule and within budget. He oversees large-scale commercial design projects, strategizing the utility design schedule and approach in collaboration with PG&E, AT&T, Comcast, and other third-party providers.
Before founding Radius Design, Hardester spent more than 18 years at RGA Design in Dublin, Calif., where he advanced from project manager to managing partner. Prior to that, he worked as a senior electric engineering estimator for Pacific Gas and Electric in San Jose.
Hardester’s project experience includes some of the Bay Area’s most notable developments, such as Cityline (Sunnyvale), Oyster Point (South San Francisco), Broadway Plaza (San Mateo), 1001 Shoreline, Avela (Mountain View), Pathline Park (Sunnyvale), Project Nomar (Burlingame), and Gateway Campus (Fremont), as well as major data centers like Equinix SV11 (San Jose), Fortinet (Union City), and Bloom Energy Center (Fremont).
Hardester serves as a member Entreprenuer’s Organization, and the Calforinia Building Industry Association. Outside work, he enjoys time with his wife and family, traveling, and high performance driving at various racetracks.
Hardester completed completed PGE’s engineering estimator training program to attain Senior Engineer Status.
